Stephanie Okereke is a Nigerian born superstar with an infectious personality. Spend five minutes with Stephanie and she will have you laughing and feeling like you are talking to a friend you have known forever. As the sixth child in a family of eight, Stephanie has been entertaining her family from birth. Now she is entertaining the world.

Ms Stephanie Okereke sprung onto the Nollywood scene in 1997 with “Compromise II” and then featured in “Waterloo”. A year later she was accepted into the English and Literary studies Program at the University of calabar. She decided to pursue school while she put acting on hold. A year later Nollywood came calling again and Stephanie could not resist, she fed her desire to act with Tecp Benson’s “Terror”.

Stephanie Okereke has big dreams and she left the world in on her modelling talent with her second place finish in the 2002 “The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria” beauty Pageant.

Despite her hectic schedule, Stephanie Okereke graduated with her degree from calabar and started to stake her clain in the movie world. Emotional Crack put Stephanie on the map and was nominated for eight awards. Stephanie was delighted to have her efforts blessed with two awards. (Best Actress- English and Reel Awards Best Actress of the Year 2003). Stephanie Okereke has also stated in quite a few films including Private Sin, Final Solution, Pretender and Adora (Shot in South Africa).

 In April of 2004, Emotional Crack was premiered at the African Film Festival held in the United States. Stephanie Okereke also joined her Nollywood colleagues to speak out in a collective voice to help stop the piracy of Nigerian movies.

Next, Stephanie Okereke made her first foray into Hollywood by auditioning for a role in the Good Shepard. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Stephanie and see what happens. A-List Nollywood Actress Stephanie Okereke tenacity, wit, intelligence, grace and natural acting abilities has earned her a reputation as one of the best actresses on the African continent and in Nollywood, the third largest film industry in the world. A graduate of English and Literal studies, Okereke made her first venture into film in 1997. By 2003, she won the Reel Awards “Best Actress” award for her role in the movie “Emotional Crack.” In 2005, Stephanie Okereke was a nominee for the Africa Movie Academy Awards [AMAA]. On her way to AMAA, however, tragedy struck when she was involved in a terrible car accident that left her with a broken leg and burns on her face and hands. Okereke, with a fighting and determined spirit, bounced back and by 2006, she won the Afro-Hollywood Awards, Film Makers USA Award for Excellence with subsequent awards in 2007 for the Miriam Makeba Award for Excellence and 2008 Beyond the Tears Humanitarian Awards for her work against rape and vesico vaginal fistula and HIV/AIDS.

Not satisfied with being just an actress and wanting to create a voice and other roles for African women in Africa’s film industry, Stephanie Okereke came to the United States to study film at the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios, Los Angeles. Armed with her knowledge, intelligence, determination and creativity, Okereke established her Production company “Next Page Productions” and has recently expanded her portfolio to include the titles of director, writer and producer in her first feature Hollywood-Nollywood film hybrid, “Through the Glass,” creating what she hopes is a preview of the direction and roles African women will embrace in the film industry.

3 friends are expelled from the seminary after sneaking out to see their Idol music sensation Nico, played by Tchidi Chikere. Deemed bad influences and wayward they are advised by the seminary to go back home and enrol in secular universities. The boys do not want to return back home for the shame that they would bring upon their parents. They make the decision to go to Abuja to find Rico to beg him to teach them to be like him. As CJ’s father is rich and they figure that he can fund them so make their way to Abuja to fulfil their dreams.

Bimbo is angry at being thrown out of the seminary and is determined to experience all things worldly. He vows that as. 24 year old virgin the first thing he will do in Abuja is to lose his virginity. CJ’s intention is to get out there and “taste alcohol” and Benjamin’s main aim is to become just like Rico, but keep his moral integrity intact the same way he did as a seminarian.

The three boys are prostrating like big boys but the first chance that Benjamin is given to talk to a girl he runs leaving Bimbo to talk to her. He is struck by her beauty and starts quoting the bible. The three of them played bumbling fools to its varying degrees very well. Benjamin’s character had me cracking up a lot of the time. This is the first time I’ve seen Bacteria Ajirika in a movie and I must say he did a very good job. It helps that he is easy on the eye too. We can forgive the atrocious name.

Micheal Ezuruonye was buying fuel at a gas station when he was spotted by Ruke Amata of the Amata Dynasty and this happy coincidence set him on tracks to pursue his most cherished dream of becoming an actor.

Popularly nicknamed Fair Mike, the handsome actor quickly proved his talent and capabilities to convince some of the most influential decision makers in Nollywood, namely director Aquilla Njamah and producer Emem Isong to give him a chance. Director Dickson Iroegbu gave him his big break in the movie “Broken Marriage.”

“Critical Decision” was the huge commercial success that revealed Michael’s talent home and abroad.

It also made Micheal Ezuruonye a household name as well as it established him on the very select list of the most sought after leading men in Nollywood.

His shot to fame is the quickest ever observed in the history of Nollywood by any standards, male and female alike. His story is sometimes likened to the fairy tale Cinderella.

Though he started his professional career in December 2003, he is today the undisputed most popular leading man and he never looked back.

Omotola Jalade – Omotola Jalade is from a family of five MR & MRS SHOLA JALADE (Both Late) and two brothers Tayo and Bolaji Jalade. Omotola Jalade got married to her wonderful pilot husband CAPTAIN MATTHEW EKEINDE Jnr on the 23rd of March 1996 at the Ikeja registry and later did her white wedding on board a Dash 7 Aircraft flying Lagos to Benin on the 21st of April 2001.

 Omotola Jalade is  blessed with Four Most Adorable Kids. Princess, M.J, Meriaih and Michael Ekeinde.

Omotola Jalade modelled for a year (2003-2004), and did her first movie Venom of Justice (1995) and later did Mortal Inheritance that same year, which earned her The Best Actress in an English Speaking Movie…… And Best Actress Overall.

She went  ahead to star in about 250 movies since 1995.  Omotola Jalade won about 22 Local and International awards.

Apart  from acting, Omotola Jalade has a passion for writing aswell. Omotola Jalade writes poems and scripts. Omotola .J. Ekeinde also co-write some of the movies she starred in. Her famous column “Omotola’s Diary” in the Saturday Sun will soon be back.

Omotola Jalade went further in her career by launching her much awaited debut album on the 2nd of October 2005, to critical acclaim.

Omotola Jalade also officially launched her NGO the Omotola Ekeinde Initiative for Youth Empowerment  which had over 800 youths coming together for the Empowerment Walk and Convention. Among the speakers were, Prof Pat Utomi and Hon Abike Dabiri. In addition to this, Omotola .J. Ekeinde really like to work with children.
